2020 American Bandmasters Association Convention

The American Bandmasters Association (ABA) was formed in 1929 by Edwin Franko Goldman to promote concert band music. Goldman, who had played with the Sousa Band, sought to raise esteem for concert bands among musicians and audiences. The Associates are those who support concert bands and concert band music, such as music retailers, recording and travel companies, magazine publishers, music publishers, etc.

Tracy Leenman, owner of Musical Innovations, is currently Secretary of the ABA Associates' Executive Board and will be attending the 2020 American Bandmasters Association Convention.

The Associates are an invitation-only, highly prestigious group of members of the music industry known for their ardent support of concert band music, students and musicians. The ABA are able to attend concerts with the nation's top bands, this year includes Mississippi State, Auburn University, and University of Alabama bands, and the Air Force Concert Band. The Associates are honored to meet and learn from the nation's top High School and college band directors. We enjoy learning what it took to help these bands become so successful and bring back this valuable information to help us better serve our local bands!
