Charlie Wylie is a graduate from Charleston Southern University with a Bachelor's of Arts in Music Education. Throughout his college career, he performed as principal trombone in the CSU Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Marching Band, Jazz Ensemble, Low Brass Choir, Brass Quintet as a trombonist and tubist as well as being a founding member of The Low-Country Four Trombone Quartet.
Most notably, he had the opportunity to travel internationally with select members of the CSU Wind Ensemble, which performed in Austria, Italy and The Czech Republic during the summer of 2016.
Aside from performing on-campus, Charlie has performed with the Summerville Community Orchestra, SouthCoast Symphony, the Charleston Wind Symphony and is an active member in the Upstate Winds Symphonic Winds, based in Greenville, SC.
While being in Charleston, he actively attended East Cooper Baptist Church where he played trombone and tuba in the orchestra.
Charlie is a recent addition to the Musical Innovations staff as an instrument technician and low brass studio instructor.
